Happy New Year, and welcome to the spring 2025 semester! I hope you all enjoyed the holiday season and the well-deserved time off to relax and spend time with loved ones.

The Mt. San Jacinto College Board of Trustees held its annual organizational meeting on Dec. 17, 2024, prior to its regular board meeting, selecting a new president and clerk.

Congratulations on completing the fall 2024 semester and for being a part of yet another successful year at MSJC. I am so grateful to each of you for being such an integral part of the MSJC community. 

Mt. San Jacinto College (MSJC) proudly announces that Dr. Von Lawson, Dean of Instruction, People, Culture & Public Service Pathway, has been selected to serve as the new President of Northland Pioneer College (NPC) in Holbrook, Arizona.

On December 4, 2024, the Southwest Riverside County Higher Education Coalition convened at Mt. San Jacinto College's (MSJC) Temecula Valley Campus to propel efforts toward establishing a public four-year university in the region. The coalition's discussion centered around the University Center at MSJC Temecula, a transformative initiative poised to retain the region's brightest talent, foster economic growth, and address the critical need to curb the outflow of intellectual capital, or "brain drain."

Mt. San Jacinto College (MSJC) has been officially recognized by Newsweek as one of America's Top Online Colleges for 2025. This prestigious honor places MSJC among the top 250 online schools in the nation, including four-year universities and two-year colleges, for its commitment to providing exceptional online learning opportunities.

A group of Mt. San Jacinto College (MSJC) students attended the Umoja Conference in Los Angeles from October 31 to November 2, 2024. This empowering and transformative event aligns with the Umoja program's mission to enhance African Americans' and other students' cultural and educational experiences.

Mt. San Jacinto College (MSJC) proudly announces that its Student Health Center (SHC) has been awarded a three-year Ambulatory Accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). As of November 12, 2024, MSJC becomes the only community college in the nation to achieve this distinguished accreditation, placing it among just 48 universities nationwide--and only 14 in California--recognized for excellence in ambulatory health care.

Mt. San Jacinto College (MSJC) recently hosted an inspiring and educational HBCU Caravan College Fair, providing students, parents, and community members with valuable insights and opportunities for transferring to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

Mt. San Jacinto College (MSJC) Art Gallery invites the community to experience XO, an exhibition by artist Paulson Lee. This captivating showcase will be open from November 12 to December 12, 2024, at the San Jacinto Campus.
